Over 40 year 1 and 2 students from Qatar University College of Medicine (QU-CMED) visited on January 15-16 Al Emadi Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) - Forensic Medicine and Mortuary Section, and Qatar Biobank.

Organized by CMED in collaboration with QU Career Services Center, the visits align with the College’s commitment to provide its students with practical experiences in which they get the opportunity to interact in their early academic years with patients, physicians and practitioners from other sectors.

Commenting on the visits, QU VP for Medical and Health Sciences and CMED Dean Dr Egon Toft said: “These on-field visits serve to enhance our students’ personal and communication skills, exposing them to the hospitals’ environment and enabling them to accumulatively build up their expectations and knowledge for medical professions.” Head of Dermatology and Senior Consultant Dermatologist at Al Emadi Hospital Dr Adel Mohamed Kamaledin said: “I was happy to see motivated, confident and broad-minded future doctors with good potential, who will definitely excel in medicine and life with the appropriate guidance and education given at Qatar University.”
